Dinner Theatre draws full house
The McClusky High School Drama Club put on another successful and entertaining dinner theatre for the community on May 2. The presentation of “Little Women,” adapted from a book of the same name by Louisa May Alcott, was a strikingly well done stage set, period costume dress, and cast character performances. The play was a dramatization by L. Don Swartz and took place in the McClusky High School auditorium. The family story of four girls and their family and friends spanned several years in the play’s setting. The plans the “Little Women” had in youth turn out not to be the “happy endings” anyone imagined. Included in the play were romance, death, war, comedy, family friction and family strengths and support for one another, all transitioned by the ticking of a clock.

Ducks Unlimited cleanup day at Coteau Ranch
On April 26, Paul Bultsma, Regional Biologist, Jennifer Kross, Communications Biologist, Jeff Essler, Regional Director of North Dakota, and 11 volunteers were at the Coteau Ranch, eight miles south and two miles west of Denhoff, in Sheridan County. They were gathered together to do spring cleanup on the ranch. They were provided a lunch for their volunteer efforts. The day was cold and windy and the groups had much to do. Bultsma divided the volunteers into two groups. One group picked up aluminum cans, glass, and other trash. One of the volunteers found a beautiful duck figurine with a chipped beak in the trash, an unexpected bonus for hard work.  The other group went inside the barn to rake up the hay on the hayloft and remove old bales.
